Iulia Vantur turned down Salman Khan's Battle Of Galwan track! Know the reason

The rumoured relationship between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Romanian singer-actress Iulia Vantur has long fueled headlines. But this time, it’s not romance that’s making news - it’s a bold professional decision.

A Birthday Tease That Sparked Buzz

Last December, Iulia dropped the teaser of Battle Of Galwan on Salman’s 60th birthday, instantly setting tongues wagging about a possible musical collaboration. Given her previous associations with the actor’s films, fans expected her voice to feature in the project. However, the narrative has now taken a different turn.

Why She Said No?

Iulia recently confirmed that she declined an offer to sing in Battle Of Galwan, choosing instead to focus on carving her own identity.

Speaking to News 18, she revealed, “I was offered a song by the composer. But it's just that I want to build my own path in the industry and the musical world. I'm trying to build my own identity. It's only right and fair to do that. It's better if I do my own projects."

The film’s music album has reportedly been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with whom Iulia had earlier collaborated on Aap Se Mausiiquii.

Stepping Out of Salman’s Aura

Acknowledging the influence Salman has had on her journey, Iulia candidly addressed the challenge of stepping out of his shadow.

“It feels like a blessing to have Salman's support. He has always been a good support [system]. It was very encouraging. I feel grateful to have the chance to be around him so much. I got to learn so much about the world, music, films and entertainment. Now, when I look back, I realise that I've learnt so much about Bollywood from him," she said.

She further reflected on the weight of such an association: "One will always be overshadowed by someone with that kind of an aura,” Iulia said, adding, “But I feel it's only right that I get to show who I am without my connections. Having said that, it's difficult to come out of his aura. But I also know that I'm capable.”

Building a Career on Her Own Terms

Beyond Bollywood, Iulia expressed pride in having built her career independently in Romania, without relying on industry backing or connections. For her, declining the song wasn’t rejection - it was reinvention.

Her Professional Journey With Salman Khan
