Filmmaker Kabir Khan drops major hint on next film with this Bollywood actor

Filmmaker Kabir Khan has sparked excitement in the film industry after hinting at a potential reunion with Kartik Aaryan for his next directorial venture. Speaking at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Panaji, the director revealed that discussions are underway and an official announcement may be just weeks away.

‘We Are Still Talking…’

Khan and Aaryan last collaborated in 2024 for Chandu Champion, the inspiring biographical drama based on Paralympian Murlikant Petkar.

“We are still talking… working on some ideas, and in a month or so, we will be able to announce exactly what we are working on,” Khan told PTI.

He added that while he already has the script, several elements, including the actor’s dates and studio backing, are yet to be finalised. “It’s an exciting project,” he said.

A Human Interest Drama With a Larger Canvas

Kabir Khan described the upcoming film as an exciting human-interest story, layered with the larger-than-life backdrop of politics and society.

“It is in my space… an exciting human story at its core,” he noted, hinting at the emotional depth and scale that his films are known for.

At IFFI, Khan is presenting My Melbourne, an anthology featuring films by Khan, Onir, Rima Das and Imtiaz Ali, exploring themes such as diversity, sexuality, disability and race.
