R. Madhavan has turned cheerleader for Aditya Dhar’s latest directorial, Dhurandhar. Taking to social media, the actor laid out why the film deserves a trip to the big screen- starting with its formidable ensemble.

According to Madhavan, the sheer force of the cast is reason enough. Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Madhavan himself, he says, together form the core attraction that powers the film.

The Famous Five… and A Sixth Surprise

In his Instagram post, Madhavan listed his “five reasons to watch Dhurandhar” as the star-studded lineup itself. Each actor, he suggested, brings a distinct edge that elevates the narrative and keeps viewers hooked. But he didn’t stop there.

Adding a final flourish, Madhavan revealed reason number six as the man behind the camera- “ADITYA dhuran-DHAR!”- before inviting fans to chime in with more reasons in the comments.

Box Office Juggernaut: Dhurandhar Storms Past Major Hits!

The film’s impact isn’t limited to social media buzz. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on December 13, reported that Dhurandhar outperformed several recent blockbusters on its second Friday (December 12).

While Pushpa 2 (₹27.50 crore), Chhaava (₹24.03 crore), Animal (₹23.53 crore), Gadar 2 (₹20.50 crore) and Baahubali 2 (₹19.75 crore) posted strong figures, Dhurandhar surged ahead with an impressive ₹34.70 crore, setting a new benchmark by a wide margin. 

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar has crossed the lifetime collection of War 2 in just eight days- a feat that underscores its extraordinary momentum.

So far, the film has amassed an India gross of ₹287.75 crore and a worldwide gross of ₹85 crore, taking its total worldwide collection to a staggering ₹372.75 crore.
