Dhurandhar heads for OTT release? Here’s when and where to watch

Aditya Dhar’s high-octane spy thriller Dhurandhar stormed theatres on December 5, 2025, and never looked back. Led by Ranveer Singh, the film shattered expectations, raced past box-office milestones, and comfortably secured its place in the elite ₹1000 crore club. Even a month later, its theatrical run remains strong, while anticipation for the sequel continues to build at full throttle.

Netflix Premiere on the Cards?

The action-packed spectacle is now gearing up for its digital debut. As per industry chatter, Dhurandhar is expected to arrive on Netflix on January 30, 2026. Interestingly, reports suggest that the film’s OTT destiny was sealed well before its big-screen release, with Netflix snapping up the streaming rights early for a premium deal.

A Record-Breaking OTT Deal?

Buzz from trade circles indicates that Dhurandhar has clinched one of the biggest streaming agreements in recent times. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights for both installments of the franchise for a staggering ₹130 crore.

Sources revealed, “Netflix has paid Rs 130 crore for the streaming rights of Dhurandhar. This includes both parts. Hence, one can say that the rights were sold for around Rs 65 crore each for Dhurandhar Part 1 and Part 2.”

The insider further noted, “This is a huge figure in today’s times when OTT prices have crashed and is a significant boost for Ranveer Singh. This is his biggest OTT deal yet if we count the amount for both parts.”

Dhurandhar 2: Title Revealed, Teaser Locked!

The sequel is already fuelling excitement. The first teaser of Dhurandhar 2 is set to roll out in theatres from January 23, attached to the screening of Border 2. Adding to the intrigue, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the teaser on January 19.

As per certification details, the sequel carries the title Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The teaser, running just over a minute, has been granted an ‘A’ certificate- hinting at darker, grittier action ahead.
