Dharmendra’s hospital video leak: Breach Candy employee arrested after ICU clip goes viral

Bollywood’s veteran legend Dharmendra had been admitted for health monitoring and treatment earlier this week. Now, the 89-year-old actor has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and is recovering at home, surrounded by his family.

Even as well-wishers expressed relief over his recovery, a troubling incident during his hospital stay caused public outrage - a private video filmed inside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was secretly recorded and leaked online, showing the Deol family during an emotional moment.

Inside the Leaked Video

The video that went viral on social media showed Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed while his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol stood close by. His first wife Prakash Kaur and grandsons Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol were also visible in the footage. The Deol family members were visibly shattered as they are seen wiping their eyes.

As the camera panned across, a distressed voice was heard saying, “Ek baar theek kar deh. Haye rabba yeh kaise hoh gaya.” The emotional scene, intended to remain private, struck a nerve with fans who were outraged that such a moment was captured without consent.

Public Reaction

The leaked video was widely condemned by netizens, many of whom called it “disrespectful and inhumane.” One social media user tagged the hospital, writing, “What a shame that your employee is recording these personal moments... It’s so disgraceful and only shows how shameless your employees are.”

Even prominent industry figures including Karan Johar and Ameesha Patel voiced their support for the Deol family, urging people to “leave the Deol family alone” and respect their right to privacy.

Hospital Employee Arrested

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Breach Candy Hospital authorities confirmed that the employee responsible for secretly filming the video has been arrested. The hospital also launched an internal investigation to identify how the breach occurred and to ensure stricter privacy safeguards for patients in the future.

Earlier today, a visibly emotional Sunny Deol confronted the paparazzi outside his residence, expressing displeasure over the constant media intrusion and urging them to let his father recover in peace.
