Despite receiving mixed reviews-particularly regarding its second half-Idli Kadai has been widely appreciated for its rustic setting, emotional depth, and Dhanush’s powerful performance. The film opened strong with Rs 11 crore on Day 1, marking Dhanush’s third-biggest opening after Kuberaa and Raayan. By Day 3, its domestic collection had reportedly surpassed Rs 26 crore, signaling steady audience interest and positive word-of-mouth.
