Ayushmann Khurrana–Sara Ali Khan’s Pati Patni Aur Woh Do postponed ahead of March 4 release

The much-buzzed-about Bollywood comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh, has reportedly been postponed.

While the film was earlier eyeing a theatrical release on March 4, the makers have now decided to delay it, as post-production work is still underway.

Why the Makers Chose to Wait

According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, the decision was taken because the film’s post-production is not yet complete and a song sequence still needs to be shot. The team reportedly does not want to rush the process, believing they have a special film on hand. The focus, the source added, is on delivering an entertaining and polished final product rather than meeting a fixed release date. A new release date is expected to be announced soon.

A Vacant Box Office Window Opens Up

With Pati Patni Aur Woh Do stepping away from the March 4 slot, the date is now wide open, with no other films officially announced for release then. The timing is particularly interesting, as Ramzan will be underway, while big releases like Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic are scheduled to arrive around March 19. Adding to the mix, the semi-finals and finals of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup are set to take place between March 4 and 8. However, with Holi falling midweek, any film releasing on March 4 could benefit from a five-day extended weekend and a potentially clean two-week theatrical run.
