Bargarh: A youth was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Bhatli of Bargarh district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Bulu Satnami, a resident of Sohela.
As per sources, Bulu was attacked while he was on his way to attend an event at the Bhatli BJP office. Critically injured Bulu was first rushed to Bargarh district headquarters hospital but later shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police has seized a country-made pistol and an empty shell from the crime spot. Three persons present at the spot have also been detained for interrogation.
Meanwhile, Bargarh SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo and SDPO Suresh Nayak have initiated a probe to uncover the mystery behind the murder.
