Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped the residents of Nayapalli area after body of a youth wrapped in cardboard box was recovered from inside the Horticulture farm on Sunday. The deceased, Dilip Sahu hails from Kantilo area in Nayagarh district and was working at a flour mill in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, Dilip had an altercation with other staff of the flour mill on Saturday night while his body was recovered this morning.
It is suspected that Dilip was brutally murdered and his body was thrown from the roof a building located near the Horticulture farm, said a police official requesting anonymity.
Locals said the building where the flour mill was located in the ground floor had been a safe haven for anti-social elements. The alleged murder of Sahu could be a fall-out of a rivalry over drug deals.
On getting information, Nayapalli Police along with dog squad reached the spot and initiated a probe. Later, one Prakash Jena was arrested in connection with the murder case.
Though the exact motive behind the killing is still unclear, further investigation is underway as Prakash also used to work in the same flour mill.
