Youth injured in a murderous attack in Balasore

Balasore: A youth sustained grievous injuries after being attacked by a group of miscreants in Agapada village under Sabira Panchayat of the district here on Sunday.

The injured, identified as Narendra Nayak of Agapada village was allegedly attacked with sharp weapons by four miscreants after a chase when he was walking on the village road.

Critically injured, Narendra was rescued and admitted to the Soro hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

Later, Soro police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

“Narendra has sustained severe injuries in his body. Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the attack. Further investigation is on to nab the four accused,” said a police official.
