Nayagarh/Balasore: Three persons were killed and seven others critically injured in two separate road accidents in Nayagarh and Balasore districts today.
Two persons were killed and three others sustained grievous injuries when driver of a car, they were travelling in, lost control and rammed into a roadside tree on NH-17 near Nuagaon in Nayagarh district.
In another incident, two trucks collided head-on at Maitapur near Soro in Balasore district leaving one dead and four injured. While the body has been sent for post-mortem, the injured have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital, Bhadrak.
