Cuttack SCB medical clerk in Vigilance net

Cuttack: Vigilance sleuths today arrested a clerk of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on charges of accepting bribe from a retired official for clearing pending salary arrears.

One Dillip Rout who works as a clerk in the Accounts department of the SCB hospital was caught red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 5000 from a retired woman employee for clearing her pending 7th pay commission salary arrears.

According to sources, the official had demanded money from the woman to clear her file.

After a written complaint by the woman, vigilance sleuths today nabbed the accused official.
