At least two persons including the driver of a car sustained grievous injuries after their vehicle was hit by a Hyva early Saturday morning. The driver of the car and a person seated inside it suffered critical injuries in the mishap.
Both of them were rushed to the Capital Hospital where their conditions remain critical. Reportedly, a couple of others have also sustained minor injuries in the mishap.
According to sources, the incident occurred at Damana Square, Bhubaneswar. The car was standing alongside the main road when the over-speeding Hyva came from nowhere and rammed into the car from the rear.
The intensity of the collision was so high that both vehicles were completely damaged in the mishap. The truck driver also sustained minor injuries and has been detained by Chandrasekharpur Police.

The mishap has led to traffic woes at Damana Square. A JCB machine was deployed to remove both vehicles from the road to clear the traffic.
No comments could be obtained from the police in this regard.
