Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and three other Union ministers during his visit to the national capital. The CM informed that he held detailed discussions with Shah on various developmental programmes of the state.

Key issues discussed included Centre–state coordination, Naxal control, the development of affected regions, and modernisation of the police force.

In another meeting, CM Majhi met Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi, where he submitted proposals for enhancing paddy procurement in Odisha ahead of the upcoming harvest season. He also requested an increase in the monthly lifting of rice by the FCI (Food Corporation of India).

Later, the CM held discussions with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, focusing on the Mahanadi water dispute, and emphasised the need for a neutral and just resolution. During this meeting, he also presented the minister with the state’s vision document titled ‘Vision Odisha 2036–2047’.

Further, CM Majhi met Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and Steel, HD Kumaraswamy, to discuss the development of Odisha’s steel sector, expansion of the Rourkela Steel Plant, and the overall industrial growth and employment generation in the state. He also shared the ‘Vision Odisha 2036–2047’ roadmap with the minister.
