Sundargarh: Anger over a trivial matter turned tragic after man set ablaze his wife at Goila village under Talsara police limits in the district today.
The accused had a quarrel with his wife over family affairs. Irked, he poured kerosene on his wife and set her on fire.
Later, he tried to extinguish the blaze but by then, major parts of her body were burnt. She was admitted to district headquarters hospital in a critical condition where she succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Talsara police started investigation after parents of the deceased registered a case of murder.
