Jajpur: A woman of Kaena village under Binjharpur police limits in Jajpur district was allegedly gang raped for days after being kidnapped by a fellow villager.The matter came to light after the woman managed to escape and lodge a police complaint.
As per the complaint, a youth of the village kidnapped the woman and handed her over to four persons in Jajpur Town. The four youths held the woman captive at different places and raped her for days. Later, she managed to escape from their clutches and reached her house.
After she narrated the ordeal in front of her family members, a complaint was lodged at Binjharpur Police Station.
"I want the culprits to be strongly punished so that my daughter gets justice," said the survivor's mother.
Jajpur SDPO, Prasant Malla said, "The girl's family has lodged a kidnapping and rape complaint. A case has been registered in this regard. The woman has been sent to hospital for medical examination and her statement recorded."
