Bhubaneswar: Chhattisgarh police on Friday arrested Khuswant Nayak, son of a senior IAS officer on the charges of harassing and sending obscene messages to a girl student on social media.
Khuswant, son of additional secretary of Odisha Home department, Meghanand Nayak was nabbed from his house at Tamando in Khurda district by the special team of Chhattisgarh police with assistance from Commissionerate Police.
Khuswant, an engineering student had created a fake ID of a girl student of Raipur and had uploaded obscene content and pictures. The complainant had lodged an FIR in connection with the incident on June 18.
As per the complainant, the accused was also repeatedly harassing the girl by frequently calling and sending text messages to her.
