Husband, In-laws Among 4 Arrested For Murder Of Woman, her 2 Children In Odisha

Deogarh: Police arrested four persons including three members of a family on charges of killing a woman and her two children in Balinali Forest reserve under Barkote Police limits in Deogarh district.

As per reports, the prime accused Bikram Kumar Pradhan used a sharp weapon to slit the throat of his wife, his 4-year-old son and 3-month-old daughter on October 17, informed Deogarh SP Rahul Jain. Later, their bodies were found on November 8 following which an investigation was launched by the cops.

According to the police, Bikram, a resident of Badtaila village, had fallen in love with a girl outside his caste from Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda and eventually married her. However, some marital discord surfaced between Bikram and his wife. Subsequently, Bikram and his family members hatched a plan to eliminate the woman.  One of Bikram's friends was also arrested for helping to bury the bodies, informed Deogarh SP.
