Rourkela: A girl was allegedly gang raped for two days after being kidnapped by two youths on July 28 in Rourkela. The matter came to light today after the victim managed to escape from the clutches of her tormentors and lodged a police complaint in connection with the incident.
As per the victim, two youths abducted her in an auto rickshaw from sector-21 on Saturday. Later, they took her to Durgapur hills near Timber Colony and gang raped her for two days.
Somehow she managed to escape from captivity and narrated her ordeal in a complaint filed at Plant Site Police Station today.
"The girl was returning home when she was allegedly abducted by two youths and was gang raped. The victim will be taken for a medical examination and her statements will be recorded before a magistrate,” said Rourkela DSP, Pradumyna Mishra.
Mishra further informed that a case based on the complaint filed by the girl has been registered and further investigation in connection with the case is on.
