Mayurbhanj: A 4-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped in Baripada and the matter came to light after a complaint was lodged at Badasahi Police Station today.
The girl has been admitted to Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital while cops have detained 3 youths in connection with the case and have started interrogation.
"An investigation is currently underway and soon the accused will be arrested," Additional SP of Baripada, Jayaram Senapati, said.
Recently, the incident of a class-VIII girl delivering a baby at a residential school in Kandhamal had sparked outrage across the State. The girl was allegedly raped by a person from her village. Similarly in another case from Kandhamal district, a minor girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by a youth on the pretext of marriage.
