Balasore: Four youth including two engineering students were today arrested on charges of stealing batteries from different mobile phone towers in Balasore late last night.
The accused have been identified as Sanjib Kumar Sahu, Tanmaya Kumar Bhuyan, Biswajit Panigrahi and Harekrushna Barik. All the four were nabbed by a police patrolling party late last night while they were on their way to Balasore with the stolen goods.
A total of 24 stolen batteries, two toy guns and a bike have been seized from the accused, informed a senior police official.
Complaints on theft of batteries were being reported from the Rasalpur area under Khantapada police limits of Balasore district since the past few days, informed police.
