Armed miscreants loot cash, ornaments at gunpoint in Balasore

Balasore: Armed miscreants looted cash and gold ornaments from one Harendra Pradhan at gunpoint in Bahanaga Bazar near Soro area of Balasore district late on Saturday night.

According to sources, the gang of miscreants carrying country-made pistols and sharp weapons barged into the house yesterday night.

The miscreants assaulted Pradhan and looted gold ornaments worth Rs 1 lakh and cash worth Rs 15,000, added sources.

“Around 9:30 pm the miscreants entered the house and attacked me with a knife. Later, they looted ornaments and cash by pointing pistols at me and my wife,” said Pradhan.

After getting information, Soro police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
