17-year-old boy stoned to death by miscreants in Kalahandi

Dharmagarh: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy was stoned to death by unidentified miscreants today while he was on a morning walk near Dumerguda village in Kalahandi district. The deceased, identified as Kailash Majhi was working as a labourer after failing in Class X examination this year.

According to reports, Kailash had left home at around 4 AM in the morning. Though two other friends always used to accompany him during his morning walk, they had not turned up today, informed family members.

"At around 7 AM, we got information that Kailash's body was lying near a field and we rushed to the spot and found some stones near the spot," said the father of the deceased Satya Majhi.

As the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, Jaipatna police have started an investigation into the incident.
