Speeding car mows down bikes, crashes into shop; four critically injured

Tension gripped Pipili on Friday after a shocking hit-and-run incident at Darjisahi Square left four people critically injured. The accident, which occurred on the busy main road, created panic among locals as a speeding car lost control, collided with multiple two-wheelers, and eventually rammed into a roadside shop.

According to eyewitnesses, the car was moving at an unusually high speed when it suddenly swerved towards the right side of the road and hit two to three parked motorcycles. The impact of the accident caused the riders and nearby pedestrians to fall, leaving several severely injured.

Moments later, the vehicle veered sharply to the left and crashed directly into a shop, causing extensive property damage. The suddenness of the incident reportedly left people running for safety as debris scattered across the area.

Locals immediately rushed to help the injured and alerted the police. All four seriously injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is stated to be critical.

CCTV footage from the area has captured the spine-chilling moments of the accident, clearly showing the car’s reckless motion and the chaos that followed. Police have begun an investigation to identify the driver and determine whether negligence, overspeeding, or intoxication led to the crash. 

A search is underway to trace the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents, who have demanded stricter traffic enforcement and speed control measures in the busy Pipili market area to prevent such accidents in the future.
