Union Home Minister Amit Shah exhorted senior party leaders and members in Odisha to work with confidence and said if the party could get 34 per cent votes in the state in 2019 elections, there would be no hurdle for the party to form government in 2024.

As per BJP leader Mohan Majhi, who was at the meeting of the Home Minister with senior party leaders and workers at Bhubaneswar, Amit Shah shared this mantra with party workers and instilled confidence.

Majhi said, “The Home Minister shared guru mantra with party leaders and workers about electoral success. He emphasized that the BJP will win and form government in Odisha this time.”

"Shah has advised all party leaders to work with confidence. He said if the party could win polls in states with 2 to 6 per cent of votes, there would be no hurdles in Odisha, where it got 34 per cent votes in 2019," Majhi added.

After kick-starting campaigning in Western Odisha’s Sonepur district on Thursday, Shah infused enthusiasm among leaders and workers by attacking the state government on multiple issues. Later in the evening he came to Bhubaneswar and held a meeting with party workers. The BJP veteran discussed strategies with the leaders and shared his advice before leaving for Bhopal at around 9.30 pm from Bhubaneswar Airport.

Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said, "The Sonepur public meeting was a massive one. He has clearly said about changing the state government and highlighted the achievements of the NDA government.  He advised party leaders and workers to work hard.”
