Minor girl commits suicide over family disturbance

Cuttack: A minor girl was found hanging from the ceiling of her house under Tangi police limits in the district late last night. As per reports, the family belonged to Kanmira village but had been living in a rented house at Badheisahi.

The girl is suspected to have committed suicide over regular disturbances going on in her family over some issue.

An argument between the family members on Wednesday night drove her to take the extreme step, sources said.

Police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem Family members and locals were quizzed by the cops in connection with the case. "We are trying to investigate the exact reason behind the incident," a police official said.
