The Union Public Service Commission has initiated a recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Programmer.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Total Vacancy: 27 posts

  • UR Candidates: 8 posts

  • EWS Candidates: 4 posts

  • OBC Candidates: 9 posts

  • SC Candidates: 4 posts

  • ST Candidates: 2 posts

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Master’s in Computer Application, Computer Science, M.Tech (Computer Application specialization), or a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology in related fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronics, or similar with two years of electronic data processing experience, or an A-Level Diploma or Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application with three years of electronic data processing experience, including programming, is acceptable.

Age Limit

The age limit should be 30 years for URs/EWSs, 33 years for OBCs and 35 years for SCs/STs.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs 25, while Female, SC/ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are exempt. Payment can be made through any SBI branch in cash, net banking, or using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Note that fees are non-refundable and cannot be reserved for other exams.

  • On the new page, select the Assistant Programmer application link

  • Enter registration details, complete the application form, and pay the fee

  • Submit the form and download a copy
