"For the betterment and prosperity of the region and the people of India and Pakistan, it is imperative to take concrete steps to resolve Kashmir issue within a stipulated time frame through sincere and serious efforts," he told a Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid here.
He expressed satisfaction over the strong participation of Kashmiri pandits at the annual Kheer Bhawani mela in Ganderbal yesterday.
"Kashmiri pandits are inalienable part of our society and the Muslim community wants them to return to their homes," he said.
He said the return of Kashmiri pandits should not be linked to resolution of Kashmir issue.
