On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana in Odisha will receive their third installment on Saturday.
As per reports, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will distribute the third installment of the scheme in Jeypore today. Nearly 1 crore beneficiaries will have funds transferred directly into their bank accounts, with each receiving Rs 5,000 in cash assistance. The program is expected to draw large participation as beneficiaries await the third tranche under the flagship women’s financial empowerment scheme.
Beneficiaries who have not received any payment so far will be given all three installments at once.
A separate event will be organized in Kotia to provide assistance to the beneficiaries there.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who has been touring Kotia since yesterday to assess the situation, stated that over 2,000 women in Kotia will receive the Subhadra funds.
Additionally, 246 previously excluded beneficiaries will get a lump-sum payment of Rs 15,000 today, covering all three installments at once. The announcement has generated excitement among Kotia residents.
The Subhadra Yojana, launched to empower women through direct financial support, continues to be a key welfare initiative of the state government.
