Accra: Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo left on Friday to join other African leaders for the 27th France-Africa Summit in the Malian capital Bamako.

It will be Akufo-Addo's first official foreign trip since his swearing-in as the West African nation's new president last Saturday, Xinhua news agency reported.

The summit will bring together heads of state and government from nearly 30 countries and will also draw representatives from the European Union, the United Nations, the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
