Mexico City: A bus crashed after experiencing brake failure over the weekend on a highway in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, killing at least 15 people and injuring 37 others, emergency services officials said on Monday.

The accident occurred at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday near the city of Atotonilco while the bus passengers were returning from "a family trip to San Juan de los Lagos," Jalisco emergency services and fire chief Jose Trinidad Lopez Rivas told Efe.
