Kolkata Horror: Sorry State Of Affairs In Mamata's Bengal! Doctors Continue Protest In Odisha

Doctors across the country are protesting and demanding justice in connection with the brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor at R.G. Kar Hospital in Kolkata.

The protest has significantly disrupted health services across the country, including in Odisha.

Medical students from AIIMS Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College and Hospital, VIMSAR, and Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College are also staging demonstrations.

Students are taking to the streets and raising slogans demanding justice for the victim.

Junior doctors have stopped all non-emergency services, including outpatient departments (OPD).

The doctors are demanding a detailed investigation, justice for the victim, and improved safety for medical professionals.

Odisha’s DMET Director Santosh Mishra has assured that government doctors will not participate in the strike.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has expressed concern about the incident and emphasised that it is a broader issue of security, not just a medical staff matter.
