Exclusive Peek Into PM Modi's Pre-Swearing-In Ritual; Check Pics

Narendra Modi is set to take oath for an unprecedented third term as the Prime Minister of India today, with several international dignitaries in attendance.

Earlier today, before the swearing-in ceremony, Modi began his day by paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

A crowd had gathered at Rajghat, eager to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister. As Modi made his way through the crowd, he exchanged gestures of acknowledgment with those standing on the sidelines.

Following this, Modi visited the Sadaiv Atal to pay his respects to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

From there, he proceeded to the National War Memorial to lay a wreath, accompanied by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The War Memorial, with its striking architecture, provided a solemn backdrop for the tribute-paying ceremony.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm, where President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office to Modi and his Council of Ministers.

In anticipation of the high-profile event, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory, implementing stringent security measures akin to those employed during the G20 Summit held in India last year.
