The epic Mahabharata narrates the tales of the great battle between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. While its general stories are well-known among Indians, there are some lesser-known characters that need the spotlight. So, let's know these lesser-known characters of Mahabharata.
Ulupi: Ulupi was a naga princess who was married to the third Pandava Arjun.
Samba: Samba, the son of Krishna and Jamvati married Lakshmana, the daughter of Duryodhana.
Yuyutsu: Yuyutsu, the son of Dhritarashtra with Gandhari’s maid was the only son of Dhritarashtra to survive the Mahabharata war.
Vatsala: Vatsala, Lord Balaram’s daughter was married to Abhimanyu, the son of Arjun and Subhadra.
Vikarna: The only son of Dhritarashtra and Gandhari who believed in justice.
Iravan: When the son of the 3rd Pandava, Arjun and the Naga princess Ulupi, Iravan, expressed his desire to be married before his death, Lord Krishna fulfilled his wish with his Mohini avatar.
Ahilawati: Ahilawati also known as Mauravi, was a Naga kanya and married to Bhima’s son Ghatotkacha.
