The busy schedule in our lives left us feeling overwhelmed with little to no rest. Here are a few Yoga asanas to come to our rescue helping rejuvenate, relax, and energize, preparing us for the day.
Surya Namaskar: Surya Namaskar is a great way to warm up your body and prepare you for the moves while helping prevent injury. Do this beforehand performing other yoga asanas.
Upward Facing Dog: Practiced as a part of the sun Namaskar sequence, this pose, requires you to lie flat on your stomach while placing your palms on both sides of your ribs. While pressing with your feet, and palms lift your body upward. Then slowly lift off your quad from the ground with your gaze forward.
Fish Pose: Besides energizing your body, it also strengthens your neck muscles and upper back. To do this, lie flat on the ground and slowly lift your body up towards the ceiling by pressing your forearm on the ground and resting your head on the floor.
Bow Pose: Besides adding energy to your body, this pose also improves posture and stretches your entire body. To do this, lie down on your stomach, hold your pinky toe above your back, and make an arch by lifting up your head, shoulder, and quads. Hold this pose for 3-4 breaths before returning to normal pose.
Upward Salute With An Arch: Brighten up your day by adding a variation to your easy pose. Take an easy pose or Sukhasana, place your hand behind your back by facing your palms downward. Bring an arch to your back and look towards the ceiling.
Standing Forward Bend: With many benefits including physical and mental, this yogasana clears minds, resets system, and energies body. Stand inches away from a wall leaning your sacrum against the wall. Bend forward over your thighs and let your arms and head, hang heavy and gently on the floor, legs, or ankles.
