Struggling With Plantar Fasciitis? Deepika Padukone's Trainer Shares Yoga To Ease Pain

Do you feel stabbing pain in the bottom of your feet when standing for long periods, when you get up after sitting, or in the morning? This common issue is known as plantar fasciitis.

Fortunately, certain yoga asanas can help relieve this discomfort by treating the inflamed tissue.

Yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani, who trains actress Deepika Padukone, shared helpful exercises on her Instagram. Here are some asanas you can try to alleviate the pain:

Toe Stretch: Sit in a chair and hold one foot with your hand. Interlace your fingers between your toes, grip tightly, and rotate your foot clockwise, then counterclockwise.

Toe Flexing: While sitting, extend and flex your toes to improve mobility.

Tennis Ball Roll: Grab a tennis ball and place it under your foot. Roll it back and forth, and then make circular motions in both directions.

By practicing these exercises regularly, you can promote circulation, increase mobility, and strengthen your feet which will further help reduce plantar fasciitis.
