8 Mistakes To Avoid During Hair Wash

We all want those luscious locks shining brightly to compliment our looks. However, in the way to make our hair gorgeous, we unknowingly do more harm to it.

Here are a few tips to avoid those mistakes that we commit while washing hair:

Switching products haphazardly: Our hair doesn't easily get accustomed to the particular formulas that hair products offer. Hence, it’s healthier for your hair to stick to one product. Do in-depth research on a product before using it.

Rubbing hair with a towel: Rubbing your hair dry with a towel causes frizz and ruffles up your cubicles. For better results, use an old t-shirt or cotton fabric and dab it on your locks gently as you squeeze out water.

Using hot water to wash hair: Using hot water to wash your hair opens hair cuticles resulting in weakening of roots and damage of hair lock. For best results use lukewarm water.

Overshampoing: Overshampoing as bad as not shampooing. Applying too much shampoo or doing more than enough time can rinse off protective natural oil from your hair, causing damage.

Applying conditioner on roots: Hair conditioners are meant to moisturize the lower part of your hair and not your scalp. Conditioning products may weigh down your hair making them greasy.

Use of too much heat: Excessive use of styling products like blow dryer, straightener, and curler, can damage your hair. Lower the dependence on heat products or apply heat protectant products before using them.

Scrubbing scalp too hard: While washing your hair avoid scrubbing it too hard, as it may tangle and break. Instead massage your scalp gently, creating a smooth lather of shampoo.

Not rinsing properly: Not rinsing your hair may leave product residuals, weighing down your hair with grease. Hence, it’s essential to rinse hair properly while washing it.
