In view of the rough weather conditions, the local administration has been placed on high alert. Nearly 2,400 people have been relocated from vulnerable areas, mainly from Chikiti and Patrapur, where landslides had occurred during previous cyclones. The evacuation continued throughout Monday night to ensure the safety of residents. NDRF, ODRF, and Fire Department teams have been kept on full readiness to respond to any emergency, reportedly.

Public Movement Restricted Along the Coastline

As per reports, strict advisories have been issued prohibiting public access to the sea beach for three days as a precautionary measure. The waves have become stronger and are moving closer to the shore, prompting authorities to restrict the entry of tourists to the coastal area.
