The maximum temperature across Odisha is likely to witness a gradual rise by 2–3°C during the next 24 hours, according to the latest weather forecast. However, no large change in day temperature is expected thereafter over the districts of the state.

The minimum (night) temperature is expected to remain stable, with no significant change forecast during the next 6–7 days across Odisha.

In the past 24 hours, dense fog occurred at one or two places in the Bhadrak and Balasore districts of North Coastal Odisha, affecting early morning visibility in these areas.

Weather observations indicate that the minimum temperature recorded an appreciable fall of about 2–3°C at one or two places over Coastal Odisha. On the other hand, an appreciable rise of around 3°C was observed at isolated places over the districts of South Interior and North Coastal Odisha. Night temperatures remained normal in the remaining parts of the state.

Further analysis shows that minimum temperatures were appreciably below normal by about 4°C at one or two places in North Interior Odisha. They were below normal by 2–3°C at many places in South Coastal Odisha and at isolated locations in North Coastal Odisha. Meanwhile, temperatures were above normal by about 2°C at one or two places in Interior Odisha and remained normal elsewhere.

Jharsuguda recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 37.0°C, while Rourkela registered the lowest minimum temperature at 12.6°C in the plains of Odisha during the past 24 hours.

The overall weather condition across Odisha is expected to remain largely stable in the coming days, with a slight increase in daytime heat and steady night temperatures.
