What was expected to be a routine home massage session quickly escalated after a dispute over the appointment, resulting in hair-pulling, punches and visible aggression- all captured in the now-circulating clip.

Purported Details of the Incident

According to reports, the 46-year-old woman from Bhakti Park, Wadala East, had booked a massage through an online platform to treat shoulder pain. When the masseuse arrived with a portable massage bed that the client found unsuitable for her home, she chose to cancel the session and request a refund via the app.

The Wadala police registered a complaint, categorising the episode as a non-cognisable offence under relevant sections of the law. No arrest has been reported so far, and the complainant has been advised to approach a magistrate for further proceedings.

In response to the incident going viral, the service provider terminated the masseuse’s association with the platform, according to reports.

This video’s widespread sharing has prompted discussions online about professional conduct, customer safety in gig services, and the responsibilities of both clients and service providers when disputes arise.
