A video showing CLAT 2026 topper Geetali Gupta’s emotional reaction to her result has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread praise for its honesty and simplicity. The 17-year-old secured All India Rank 1 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026, scoring 112.75 out of 119, the highest mark recorded this year.

The video, shared by the coaching institute where she studied, shows Geetali nervously checking her result on her phone while sitting on the floor in front of a temple at her home. As she scrolls through the screen and realises her achievement, she falls silent, visibly stunned, before breaking down in tears. Her mother soon rushes in to embrace her, making the moment deeply emotional.

Social media users have lauded Geetali’s reaction, calling it heart-warming and inspiring. One user praised her gesture of gratitude towards the temple, while another, a CLAT aspirant, congratulated her while expressing concerns over discrepancies in the provisional answer key.

A resident of Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, Geetali studied Humanities in Class 11, with Political Science, History, Geography, Economics and English as her core subjects.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) announced the CLAT 2026 results with an overall attendance of 96.01 per cent. Of the top 100 candidates, 36 are female and 64 male, with Bengaluru leading in the number of toppers.
