Ram Charan to become father again, wife shares heartwarming moments from baby shower

‘RRR’ star Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni Konidela, who tied the knot in June 2012, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Klin Kaara Konidela, in 2023—13 years after their marriage. Now, two years later, the couple has joyfully announced their second pregnancy.

The news was shared through a video from Upasana’s Seemantham ceremony, a traditional South Indian baby shower, which took place during Diwali 2025.

Upasana posted glimpses of the celebration on her social media, describing the occasion as “double the celebration, double the love & double the blessings.” She looked radiant in a blue suit as family members showered her with blessings. Ram Charan complemented her in a light-blue kurta pajama. Their daughter Klin Kaara’s face was not visible in the clip.

Ram Charan is the son of legendary Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela. Upasana comes from the prominent business family of Shobana Kamineni and Anil Kamineni. Shobana is the daughter of Prathap C Reddy, the founder of India’s first corporate hospital chain, Apollo Hospitals, and currently serves as its Promoter Director.

Both the Konidela and Kamineni families gathered to bless the couple and their soon-to-arrive baby. The baby shower was attended by several film celebrities, including Telugu superstar Nagarjuna with his wife Amala Akkineni, and Tamil actress Nayanthara with her husband, director Vignesh Shivan, and their twins, Uyir and Ulagam.

On the professional front, Ram Charan is gearing up for his next release, Peddi, a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. This film, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, is set to hit theatres on March 27, 2026. Ram will be hoping for a strong comeback after his 2025 political action thriller Game Changer did not perform well at the box office.
