South West monsoon is active over Odisha, informed the Indian Meteorological Department on Thursday (September 30). In the next couple of days, light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places over several districts including coastal and interior areas of Odisha.
The IMD has issued yellow warning for Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj. Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in these districts.
Similarly, for the subsequent 24 hours, yellow warning has been issued for districts including Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Angul. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar is expected witness cloudy skies with light rain in the next 24 hours.
