The Bhubaneswar Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed that a low pressure area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea around 10th October.

As per the MeT Centre's forecast, the low pressure area is likely to become more marked and move West North-Westwards towards South Odisha and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh coast during subsequent 4-5 days.

Meanwhile, the MeT Centre predicted the occurrence of light to moderate rain or thundershowers over the districts of Odisha between afternoon of Oct 7 and Oct 8th morning.

A 'Yellow Warning' has also been issued for thunderstorms with lightning at one or two places over 9 districts of the state during the same period. These districts are - Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Balasore.

Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar is likely to witness partly overcast sky with possibility of thunder or lightning activity. The city is likely to experience maximum 35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours.
