The Bhubaneswar Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest forecast stated that the cyclonic circulation over East Central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood is persisting. Under its influence, a low pressure area may form over East Central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during next 24 hours.

Subsequently, the low pressure area is expected to move West-North-Westwards and reach South Odisha - North Andhra Pradesh coasts during subsequent 24 hours.

According to the MeT Centre's forecast till morning of Oct 14, light to moderate rain or thundershowers is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada and Koraput.

For the subsequent 24 hours, a yellow warning has been issued for districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Dhenkanal on account expected thunderstorm with lightning.

Meanwhile, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha. Bhubaneswar is likely experience partly overcast sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm in the next 24 hours. The capital city is likely witness maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and minimum 25 degrees Celsius.
