The low pressure area that formed over south Andaman Sea and neighbourhood is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by December 7. As per the IMD, the system is likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal by December 6 evening.

Shallow to moderate fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal.
For the last four to five days, a relatively dip in the mercury in the mornings and nights is being recorded across the State with the day remaining hot. A slight increase in the day temperature has been recorded since Monday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that several parts of Odisha will witness above-normal maximum (day) temperature.
As per IMD, light to moderate and widespread rainfall/snowfall is very likely over Western Himalayan Region from February 8 to 10 with peak intensity on February 9
