In a little good news as termed by the Odisha Special Relief Commissioner, the cyclonic storm Jawad is likely to weaken gradually in the next 12 hours.
As per the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it is likely to move northwards during next 12 hours and then move North-Northeastwards along Odisha coast reaching near Puri around Dec 5th noon as a ‘deep depression’. Subsequently, it is likely to weaken further and continue to move North-Northeastwards along Odisha coast towards West Bengal coast.
Currently, the cyclonic storm ‘Jawad’ lays centered over West-Central Bay of Bengal about 230 km South East of Vishakhapatnam, 340 km South of Gopalpur, 410 km South-Southwest of Puri and 490 km South-Southwest of Paradip.
