ICC T20 World Cup is all set to commence on Sunday (October 17). The first match of the group stage will be played between the first time co-hosts Oman and debutant Papua New Guinea. Similarly, Scotland will clash against Bangladesh in the second match scheduled today.

A total of 16 teams will battle it out for the T20 coveted trophy. As many as 45 matches will be played in Dubai and Oman for a period of 28 days. National teams of Namibia and Papua New Guinea will debut this year in a world cup.

Team India will start its campaign on October 24 where they will face arch rivals Pakistan in their first match. West Indies is the only team to have won two T20 titles whereas India, Pakistan, Srilanka & England have one each.

The Semi-finals are scheduled to be played in 10th and 11th of November while Final will take place on November 14. However, this is the last T20 tournament for Virat Kohli as captain.
