Union Minister and senior BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan targeted Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday (Nov 19) on the Mamita murder case. This came amidst the ongoing protests in the state, demanding the dismissal of Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra over his alleged links in the sensational murder case.

Citing the moral grounds principle, Pradhan targeted the CM and questioned why the concerned minister should not relinquish his post. Pradhan also questiioned what happened to the earlier CM Naveen Patnaik who used to take stern action against ministers at the drop of a hat.

Meanwhile, BJD Organizational Secretary, Pranab Prakash Das took to twitter to respond to Dharmendra Pradhan’s jibe. In the tweet, Das thanked the Union Minister for acknowledging the fact that the CM has ruthlessly removed ministers in the past on moral grounds and continues to hold such high standards till date.

Das then continued on the twitter and dared Dharmendra and his party to present evidence before police and court and said that if they can prove their point, then CM would promptly put the culprit behind bars.
