BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda on Sunday led a series of programmes under the theme ‘Resolve and Awareness for Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
Visiting Booth No. 194 in Gopa, Panda administered an oath of commitment to Swadeshi, encouraging people to pledge their support for Indian-made products.
He emphasised that serving and honouring Bharat Mata begins with adopting Swadeshi in daily life. Panda urged citizens to prefer Indian products over imported goods, highlighting that such choices strengthen local industries and empower the nation.
He also called upon the youth to embrace Swadeshi, spread awareness about its importance among future generations, and prioritise eco-friendly and environment-conscious products. Tourism, he stressed, must also be promoted as part of building a stronger India.
The Kendrapara MP not only administered the oath himself but also made the gathering take the same pledge. Later, he visited the new bus stand, where he launched the campaign ‘Swadeshi in Every Home,’ pasting stickers on shops and urging traders and customers to opt for Indian products while also remaining aware of GST norms.
Sandhyarani Nayak, a member of the SHG, said that Baijayant Panda visited their group to observe their activities. She mentioned that he was very happy with their work and even purchased products worth Rs 2,100, making the payment online.
